Common mistakes

Editing the wrong checklist

Use Edit this Instance for one-off changes to today's active run. Use Edit this Template only when you want future runs to change too. If a template edit also needs to reach the run that is already open, use Push changes to active on the template.

Looking for a checklist in the wrong tab

Use Active for live runs that need work today. Use Templates for reusable designs.

Forgetting to close a completed checklist

When a run reaches 100%, OpusHub asks whether you want to close it. If you cancel, it stays active. Re-open the run and close it from the title bar.

Marking a task Not Applicable instead of completing it

Use Not Applicable only when the task genuinely should not run today. Otherwise complete the task normally so the run reflects what was done.

Expecting favourites to change access

Favourites only change your own My Checklists list. They do not grant access to anyone else.

Picking the wrong recipients for an assignment

Before sending an assignment, double-check whether it should go to selected users, selected groups or all users, and confirm any evaluators if manager sign-off is required.

Setting a schedule that lands on the wrong date

The first run of "every N months on the Nth" lands on the first day-of-month on or after the start date. If your first run looks wrong, check the start date, the day-of-month and your organisation timezone. See Scheduling.

Hiding a column you actually need

The Columns popover saves a per-user preference that persists between the template edit page and the sort page. If a column has disappeared, open the popover and toggle it back on.
